Caring For Your Forever Doll

Hair
For best styling results, before brushing with a wire brush lightly mist your doll’s hair with water using the mini spray bottle we’ve provided. Be sure not to get water in her eyes – they may rust! Divide the hair into small sections and gently brush them one at a time from the bottom of the hair to the scalp. Avoid styling products such as mousse or gel, this may damage the hair. We use heat resistant wigs so you can use blow dryers, hot rollers, curling or straightening irons gently and with an adult – if it starts to stick stop using the tool and cool it down more.

Skin
The skin of Forever Dolls is made of soft vinyl with a matte finish. It’s been developed to look as authentic and lifelike as possible. Unlike hard plastic, this soft vinyl is a porous material that will absorb some strong dyes found in textiles, makeup, coloured markers, pens, and ink. While cleaning your doll, always cover her eyes to avoid getting water in them, which can cause rust, and try to keep her soft-fabric body and her hair as dry as possible. And remember, never submerge your doll in water. For general cleaning of your doll’s skin, we recommend dampening a soft washcloth with lukewarm water. Make a paste of baking soda and lukewarm water. Rub the vinyl gently in a circular motion with the paste. Wipe with a wet washcloth to remove residue, rinsing the washcloth frequently with lukewarm water. Towel dry your doll.

Body
All of our dolls are huggable, thanks to a soft-cloth body that is sewn and stuffed by hand. Each doll also has a neck cord that secures her head to her body so be sure not to cut the cord.
